Canterbury 29, All Saints Academy (Winter Haven) 13: The Cougars (4-1, 3-0) built a 22-0 lead in the first half and held on to win their fourth straight game. Danny Cunningham threw two touchdown passes to Thomas O’Sulivan to help Canterbury stay unbeaten in Sunshine State Conference play.

Teneroc 30, LaBelle 19: The Cowboys (2-5, 1-3) trailed 12-10 at halftime, but were outscored 18-9 after the break to drop to 0-3 in road contests this season.

Moore Haven 41, Southwest Florida Christian 27: The Kings (2-4, 0-3) dropped their fourth straight game after a 2-0 start to the season.

Avon Park 54, Gateway Charter 6: The Griffins (1-5) only touchdown on the evening came courtesy of a Jerramie Joseph 60 yard kickoff return. Avon Park came into the game having allowed only 16 points through seven games.

Volleyball

North Fort Myers d. Dunbar 25-7, 25-8, 25-3: Caitlyn Cantrell led the Red Knights (14-5) with 27 assists and four service aces. Katie Dickey added 10 kills for North Fort Myers.

LaBelle d. Community School of Naples 19-25, 26-24, 25-21, 25-19: Macy O’Ferrell led the Cowgirls (15-8) with 26 kills and 23 digs. Maura Lofton dished out 34 assists and five kills and Brooke White added eight kills and 14 digs. Andrea Stanforth contributed 12 service points and 15 digs for LaBelle.

Evangelical Christian competed in the Battle at the Beach Tournament hosted by Venice High School this past weekend, and finished second in the Silver division. The Sentinels (18-4) defeated Plant (Tampa) and Gulliver Prep in straight sets, and lost to Lincoln (Tallahassee) and Berkeley Prep (Tampa) in straight sets. Florida State commit Lily Tessier was voted to the All-Tournament team for Evangelical Christian.

SFCA d. First Baptist 19-25, 25-22, 25-18, 12-25, 16-14 (From Saturday): Hannah Upton led the Kings (12-7) with 16 kills and eight service aces. Lauren Long had 11 kills for Southwest Florida Christian.

Fort Myers d. Ida Baker 23-25, 25-7, 25-12, 23-25, 15-7: Noelle Tursky had 15 kills, four digs and two blocks to led the Green Wave (17-6). Alexis Piatkowski added 10 kills and five blocks for Fort Myers.

Evangelical Christian d. Barron Collier 25-19, 25-12, 23-25, 25-15: Sam Bebber led the Sentinels (19-4) with 18 kills, 12 digs and six blocks. Lily Tessier dished out 38 assists and had 19 digs, and Kristin Van Olst added 11 kills and 12 digs. Caroline Forster contributed 11 kills and eight blocks and Amber Dudek had 28 digs for Evangelical Christian.
