The newest edition of the USA TODAY High School Sports Super 25 rankings in boys lacrosse provided by 3dRising.com sees the Hill Academy (Vaughn, Ontario) still perched at the top.
But this week’s rankings feature significant shuffling throughout thanks to a number of important games, including a pair contests among three teams that have moved into and/or up the ranks since the season began.

First, Malvern Prep (Malvern, Pa.) took down the MIAA ‘A’ Conference’s Loyola Blakefield (Baltimore) — the team causing a shakeup the week before by beating No. 1 Haverford School (Pa.) — 11-9 in a come-from-behind win. Then, Calvert Hall — another strong MIAA contender — edged Malvern Prep 7-6 in overtime, with J.T. Bugliosi netting the game-winner.
These results brought Malvern Prep up in the rankings; but then with the Cardinals’ defeating the Friars shortly after, Calvert Hall moved into the top 10 at No. 9 after being ranked No. 25 last week. The Friars move from No. 19 to No. 10. Loyola Blakefield, ranked No. 7 last week, comes in at No. 12 this week.
Another result producing some changes — though not as dramatic — is McDonogh’s victory against Culver Academy out of Indiana, a 9-8 win in overtime thanks to Jackson Morrill’s game-winner. That result sees McDonogh jump Culver, sliding into the No. 3 slot, while IMG Academy (Brandenton, Fla.) — 23-2 winners over West Linn in its home opener — moves up to No. 2. This shuffling came after Culver defeated now-No. 13 Haverford 9-8 in overtime on March 20.
Additionally, the Hun School from New Jersey — a highly ranked team for most of last year after some impressive Super 25 wins — bounces into the Top 10 thanks to a solid 14-8 win against Georgetown Prep (Md.).
A number of Super 25 matchups are on deck for this week, including No. 4 Culver Academy taking on No. 5 Gonzaga (D.C.) on March 24.
