Lavert Hill once was verbally committed to Penn State and, acccording to later reports, he even signed a financial aid agreement and intended to enroll early.
But as Michigan and Michigan State intensified their pursuit of the four-star defensive back, Hill re-evaluated.
Today, the Detroit King star announced that he will skip his final official visit this weekend — possibly to Clemson — and will announce his choice on National Signing Day (Feb. 3) at his high school.https://twitter.com/verthill21/status/692348696046936064
Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State all have obvious appeal to Hill.
He has high school friends — Donnie Corley of King and Demetric Vance of Detroit Cass Tech — in MSU’s recruiting class.
His brother Delano Hill is a safety at U-M, and he’s close with Michigan cornerback Jourdan Lewis. After his official visit to MSU last weekend, he stopped in Ann Arbor, according to Wolverine247.
And Penn State has given him the full-court press, introducing him at its hockey game two weeks ago.
