Holy Cross and Whitefield Academy will represent Louisville in the All “A” Classic state softball tournament set for Saturday and Sunday at Jack C. Fisher Park in Owensboro, Ky.

Holy Cross is the defending champion of the event for the state’s smallest 125 high schools and will join Glasgow, Whitefield Academy and Lexington Christian in Pool B.

The top two teams in each of the four pools after Saturday’s play will advance to Sunday’s single-elimination championship bracket. The final is set for 1 p.m. EDT.

Second Region champion Lyon County, No. 21 in the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association’s Top 25, is the only ranked team in the field.

Here are the pools:

* Pool A – Lyon County, Newport Central Catholic, Bishop Brossart, Pikeville.

* Pool B – Glasgow, Holy Cross, Whitefield Academy, Lexington Christian.

* Pool C – Hancock County, Walton-Verona, Somerset, Raceland.

* Pool D – Murray, Campbellsville, Middlesboro, Wolfe County.
