St. Vincent-St. Mary High School football coach Dan Boarman
St. Vincent-St. Mary High School head football coach Dan Boarman is retiring from his head coaching post, he announced in a letter posted on the team’s Web site Monday afternoon.

In the open letter, Boarman also announces that Marcus Wattley, who has served as the program’s defensive coordinator for the past four years, will serve as the Fighting Irish’s next head coach.
In his nine years at the helm of his alma mater’s gridiron program, Boarman posted an 89-26 record and guided the team to back-to-back state championships in 2012 and 2013. During his tenure as a head coach, he amassed a 206-96 record.
A 1970 St. Vincent High School alum, Boarman also led the school’s baseball program to state championships in 1986 and 1989.
