The third doubles team of David Demetros and Mark Padoleski picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win to help lead the Beacon High School boys tennis team to a 7-0 win over host Lakeland on Monday.
Jack Rothberg picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win at first singles and Russell Hecker won at third singles, 6-3, 6-1 for the Bulldogs (7-1), who visit North Salem Thursday.
“I was happy with how we played,” Beacon coach Dave Ryley said. “It’s more challenging when you play on the road, but overall we played well. We won them all in straight sets.”
New Paltz 5, Spackenkill 0 — In second doubles Caleb Sheedy and Logan McPherson defeated Mahmoud Almady and John Conti 4-6, 7-6,10-8 to lift the host Huguenots (4-0).
“I was pleased that Caleb and Logan hung in there and came back after losing the first set,” New Paltz coach Scott Taylor said.
In first singles, New Paltz’s Alessandro Mauceri defeated Zed Anwar by the score 6-0, 6-1, while Noah Kalus topped Anubhav Shankar in second singles 6-1, 6-4.
In first doubles, Huguenots Owen Sheekey and Elijah McKee upended Kevin Nizza and Alex Ristiz 6-2, 6-1.
Marlboro 5, Rondout Valley 0 — Charles Benfer and Yazeed Haidaoui won at first singles, and doubles, respectively, to help lead the host Iron Dukes.
Benfer won 6-1, 6-3. Haidaoui claimed a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
Fora Park shot a 48 at par-35 Mohansic Golf Course, as Wappingers lost 264-282 to host Yorktown.
Wappingers (1-2) hosts Arlington at Beekman Golf on Tuesday.
