With three goals and an assist from James Pratt and three goals from Jack Decker, the Wappingers boys lacrosse team beat visiting Clarkstown South High School 10-8 on Saturday.
Travis Ventura (one goal, two assists) and Billy Biegun (two goals) chipped in. Biegun won 13 out of 19 face-offs while Emad Jamal made 12 saves in goal.
“It was a scrappy, hard-fought game,” Wappingers coach Brian Kuczma said. “We were losing most of the game until the end. We came out in the second half and played up tempo, which led to some goals at the other end.”
The Warriors (3-0) host Brewster at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Haldane 11, Peekskill 1 — Julian Graff and Sam Giachinta scored three goals apiece to lead the host Blue Devils.
Anthony Percacciolo added two goals and four assists while keeper Dillon Auth made 10 saves.
“It was a great win for our team,” said Haldane coach Eddie Crowe, whose Blue Devils improved to 1-2. “Sam Gianchinta is a freshman and for him to have a hat trick and score his first varsity goal was great.”
Haldane hosts Rye Neck at 5 p.m. Monday.
Arlington 19, North Salem 6 — Kevin Litchauer poured in four goals to lead the host Admirals.
Nick Baginski pitched in with three goals, while Mike Genualdo, Riley Caroll, Matt Lopez and Liam Kitson contributed two apiece.
Kitson and Brendan Katkley (goal, two assists) scored their first varsity points.
Arlington hosts Somers at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Our Lady of Lourdes 14, Ossining 3 — Dillon Rispoli led the host Warriors with eight goals and two assists. Ty Arnone added three goals and an assist while Luke Rispoli scored two goals with two assists.
Jimmy Daly (one goal) and Joe Scaglione (three assists) also pitched in, while Billy Wagner, Evan Mullaly and Adam Breault each distributed an assist.
Goalie Matt Sayegh made 10 saves for Lourdes (3-1), which hosts Pawling on Thursday.
Pine Bush 6, Highland 5 — Chris Schlappich had four goals and one assist for the Huskies (1-1) late Friday. Jesse Weaver finished with one goal while Giorgio D’Angelo had nine saves.
Two wild pitches led to two runs and gave Chester a 2-1 win over host Highland at Tony Williams Park.
Isaiah Daubon finished 2 for 4 with a double while Nick Palmatier had a pinch-hit RBI single. Dylan Warren was 1 for 3 while pitcher Kevin Brennie gave up two hits, struck out three batters and walked three.
“It was a good game all-around,” Highland coach John Buonamano said.
The Huskies (0-1) host Rondout Valley on Tuesday.
Fox Lane 7, Arlington 2 — Mike Pascoe finished 1 for 4 with a run scored for the host Admirals, while Max LaBarbera singled home a run.
Arlington (1-1) visits Horace Greeley at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Behind three goals from Jessica Musacchio and Eliana Lotero, Beacon defeated visiting Franklin D. Roosevelt, 11-4.
Sam Springer and Chelsea Tonic each scored two goals for the Bulldogs, while Gabby DeMaria added one.
The Bulldogs led 3-2 at halftime, as goalie Mia Reid-Espinal held the Presidents to two goals in the second half. She finished with eight saves.
Mia Ridgeway scored all four goals for Roosevelt. Keeper Lauren Degnan had nine saves.
Roosevelt visits Valley Central at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Beacon will visit Pawling at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Joe Censullo (125 pounds) from Roy C. Ketcham placed third at the Middle Atlantic Wrestling Association Preliminary District Tournament at Middletown High School.
He advanced to the tournament’s Northern Regional Championships.
