BRADENTON, Fla. – It’s no secret that IMG Academy offensive lineman Cesar Ruiz likes the Michigan Wolverines and this week he will finally take his official visit to Ann Arbor.
Ruiz, who has already taken an official visit to North Carolina, said he’s ready to see everything he hasn’t already seen in his other visits to the campus.
“Everybody knows I like Michigan a lot, I mean that’s why I’m taking an official visit there,” Ruiz said during the Under Armour All-America Game Selection Tour presented by American Family Insurance. “I’ve liked them ever since they offered me as a sophomore. It’s been a school high on my list and I know a lot of people there. I’ve built up some good relationships there.”
Oklahoma, Florida and Texas A&M are among the other programs that Ruiz is interested in. He said he is definitely taking official visits to Oklahoma and Florida but isn’t certain about Texas A&M.
“That’s parents weekend here so I’m not sure how I’m going to be able to handle that,” Ruiz said. “I know Florida is October 15 and Oklahoma is December 3. To be honest I would like to have my mind made up after the Oklahoma official.
Ruiz would like to make his announcement on December 18 because it’s his father’s birthday but said if he hasn’t made up his mind by then he’ll wait until his participation at the Under Armour All-America Game.
The 6-foot-3 305-pound Ruiz is rated as the nation’s top prospect at center.
