Ind. football coach sends tweet as message to players, tweet goes semi-viral

MUNCIE — Adam Morris set the tone for Central’s season with one tweet on Sunday morning, and it went semi-viral.

Translated: The work started a long time ago, and if you’re just now trying to get ready for the season opener, it’s too late.

As of Monday night, it had 309 retweets and 405 likes. Morris said it was featured on the front of footballscoop.com, which helped it spread.

“I was like, what, why is it on there?” the head coached asked after the team’s first official practice Monday. “It kind of blew up out of nowhere.

“I thought of (the tweet) myself, but every coach, they think the same thing. I told my wife, a lot of people are looking at this (tweet), it’s kind of weird.”
