The 19th annual Battle of the Bridges All-Star basketball classic, featuring boys and girls standouts from Indiana and Kentucky, is set for Aug. 6 at MidAmerica Sports Center.
The girls game begins at 6:30 p.m. with the boys to follow at 8. In conjunction with the classic, a weekend-long tournament will be held for boys and girls grades 3-12. Over 2,000 players from 10 states are expected to make an appearance, per event staffer Gary Darby.
General admission to the event is $7, while students ages 7-18 get in for $5, senior citizens for $3 and children ages 4-6 $2. Children under 3 years of age are free, as are active military members with proper identification. More information can be found here or at the event’s Facebook page.
