Iowa commit Eno Benjamin will receive his jersey for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl next week, but Friday night, he again showed why he’s worthy of the distinction.
Benjamin, ranked as the No. 11 running back recruit in the Class of 2017 by 247Sports, accounted for eight touchdowns and 461 yards of total offense Friday as Wylie East in Texas beat North Forney, 56-28, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Benjamin, who now primarily plays out of a Wildcat formation, ran for six touchdowns and threw for two.
His passing total Friday of 147 yards (8-for-15) almost equaled his yardage in the first three games. His 314 rushing yards came on 24 carries.
On the ground, he now has 85 career rushing touchdowns and more than 5,750 career rushing yards.
