Lake Stevens (Wash.) quarterback Jacob Eason had added another national honor to this collection.
Eason was named the 2015 Maxwell Football Club National High School Player of the Year on Tuesday. This is the ninth year that the award will be presented.
Eason, who is already enrolled at Georgia, was named the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Offensive Player of the Year, the Gatorade National Player of the Year and the U.S. Army Player of the Year, among other accolades.
Eason led his team to a state 4A runner-up finish, throwing for 3,585 yards and 43 touchdowns with a 70% completion rate and six interceptions.
“We got to see Eason’s leadership and his camaraderie with his teammates both on and off the field during the 2016 Army All American game and we are excited to honor Jacob Eason as the 2016 Maxwell High School Player of the Year Award presented by adidas,” said Shannon Ferbrache, the director of grassroots sports marketing for adidas.
Eason will receive the award during the 79th annual Maxwell Club National Awards Gala in Atlantic City on March 11.
Among the other winners of Maxwell Club awards this year at Cam Newton, Ron Rivera, Derrick Henry, Dabo Swinney and many others. According to a news release, Eason joins previous Maxwell players of the year: Trenton Thompson (2014), Will Grier (2013), Derrick Henry (2012), Noah Spence (2011), Jeff Driskel (2010), Sharif Floyd (2009), Jamarkus McFarland (2008) and DeVier Posey (2007).
