Competitors from sectionals at Jeffersonville and Jennings County will compete in the IHSAA wrestling regional at Jeffersonville on Saturday.

The top four in each weight class will qualify for the semistate in Evansville on Feb. 13, which means a wrestler must win his first-round match to advance. From that point, athletes will compete for the regional title and for seedings at the semistate.

Area top seeds include Jeffersonville’s Camren Beasley (28-16 at 106), Eastern Pekin’s Robbie Stein (35-6 at 120), Floyd Central’s Tristan Sellmer (30-4 at 132) and Tyler Crowl (24-3 at 145), Jeffersonville’s Donovan Smith (3013 at 160), New Albany’s Jaden Sonner (32-2 at 182) and Floyd Central’s Ty Sorg (17-6 at 220).

The top four from the semistate (which will include qualifiers from regionals at Jeffersonville, Bloomington, Evansville and Mooresville) will advance to the state finals in Indianapolis on Feb. 19-20.

Action is set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
