Fans voted Jeffersonville swimmer Ben Doss the winner of The Courier-Journal Southern Indiana Athlete of the Week Award presented by Norton Sports Health. He won the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke sectional races.
Last week’s other nominees included North Harrison girls basketball’s Taylor Rennirt, Floyd Central swimmer Brendon Smith and New Albany basketball’s Romeo Langford.
Each week, four athletes will be posted here as nominees for the Athlete of the Week Award. Voting will run through 8 p.m. Sunday. Winners will be invited to the Kentuckiana Sports Awards banquet presented by Norton Sports Health.
