Madison senior Trystan Jones has committed to play baseball for Brevard College.
Jones does a little bit of everything for the Patriots as a catcher, outfielder and pitcher. His role at the next level is unclear at the moment, but Madison coach Ronald Tipton said he expects Jones to settle in as a college outfielder.
“Trystan has done a fine job for us, hitting out of the No. 4 hole,” Tipton said.
“He produces runs for us, offensively, and has done a really fine job on the mound. We’ve asked for him to come up big in some tough games and he has.”
The Patriots plan to hold a signing ceremony for Jones on Friday.
