Western North Carolina football’s leading rusher was on top of his game Thursday in front of a televised audience.
Franklin junior Brock Kloeppel rumbled for 202 yards and four touchdowns in the Panthers’ 38-7 home win over East Henderson.
Kloeppel (1,487 yards) remains on pace to become the third 2,000-yard rusher in as many seasons for Franklin (5-4, 3-2). His touchdown runs on Thursday were for 9, 10, 14 and 14 yards.
Andrew Moore completed a 6-yard touchdown pass to Jordin Nugent at the 9:17 mark of the second quarter. Hugo Olvera made a 23-yard field goal to cap off the scoring for the Panthers.
Franklin pulled its starters in the third quarter. The Western North Carolina Athletic Conference game was shown locally on WMYA-TV (40).
East Henderson’s Jake Shattuck had 111 yards and a touchdown for the Eagles (0-9, 0-5).
