No. 16 Curie (Chicago) leads five new teams in the Super 25 boys basketball rankings. The Condors improved to 4-0 as Elijah Joiner had 31 points in an 81-80 defeat of Altoff Catholic (Belleville, Ill.) in the Marshall County Hoopfest in Benton, Ky.
The other new teams: No. 20 Sunrise Christian (Wichita); No. 22 Norcross, Ga.; No. 24 Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, Calif.) and No. 25 El Dorado, Ark.

Of that group, Bishop Montgomery is a returnee. The Knights, missing two key players, dropped their first game of the season but have won four in a row since, including a 78-64 defeat of Westchester (Los Angeles) as Ethan Thompson had 25 points.
La Lumiere (La Porte, Ind.) improved to 8-0 to retain the No. 1 ranking as Tyger Campbell had 26 points in a an 89-60 defeat of Michigan City.
It was a big week for Chicago teams. Besides newly ranked Curie, Simeon jumped from No. 23 to No. 11 as Talen Horton-Tucker had 26 points and 14 rebounds in a 73-58 defeat of then-regionally ranked Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) in the Chicago Elite Classic.
