Abigail Meder wrapped up her high school golf career with a top-five finish at the Division 4 state finals.
And that has led to the Lansing Catholic senior repeating as a first team Division 4 all-state selection.
Meder was one of six Lansing area girls golfers to earn Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association all-state recognition. Meder was named all-state for a third straight season.
DeWitt junior Elaina DeRose and St. Johns junior Abby Murray were first team all-state selections in Division 2. DeRose was the top scoring area golfer at the Division 2 state finals and helped DeWitt finish fifth as a team. She led the Panthers with a 41.8 average for nine holes and 82.6 for 18 holes. Murray is all-state for the second straight year after earning honorable mention honors as a sophomore. She finished a stroke behind DeRose at the state meet.
Okemos sophomore Lauren Kim and Mason junior Claudia Vondra were honorable mention Division 2 all-state selections, while Charlotte junior Lizzy Fisher earned honorable mention honors in Division 3. Vondra helped Mason qualify for the state finals as a team, while Kim and Fisher reached the finals as individuals.
