INDIANAPOLIS – Eight medalists from the Rio Olympics, including double gold medalist Lilly King of Indiana University, will be featured in the Nov. 12-13 dual swimming meet between the Big Ten and U.S. national team at Indianapolis.
Thirteen former or current IU swimmers have been selected. The Hoosiers’ men rank No. 1 in the NCAA.
Indiana junior Blake Pieroni, a gold medalist in the 400 freestyle relay, and King will represent the Big Ten. Also on the Big Ten roster are Olympic medalists Cierra Runge of Wisconsin and Jordan Wilimovsky of Northwestern.
Among four Purdue swimmers will be Adam Noens (Lawrence North) and Russian breaststroker Marat Amaltdinov.
The short course yards meet will start at 6 p.m. Nov. 12 and 11:30 a.m. Nov. 13 at the Natatorium at IUPUI. Big Ten Network will televise both sessions from noon-2 p.m. Nov. 13.
