The University of Tennessee lost a linebacker prospect on Tuesday, and may have gained a sullied reputation in the process.
Inside linebacker Tim Hart is back on the market following a declarative and aggressive statement he released on Twitter that accused the Tennessee coaching staff of having, “poor communication” and a “lack of openness.”
Perhaps the most striking part of Hart’s statement is the first line, mentioning that he is “displeased to announce.” After six months being committed to Tennessee, Hart is clearly miffed that the promises made didn’t line up with the service he received from the coaches themselves. One report on Twitter claimed that Hart was asked to blueshirt, leading to his decision to move on from the Vols.
As for his next move, the University School senior holds plenty of offers from Division I programs, including hometown Memphis and the likes of LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri and Ole Miss. Where he ends up is anyone’s guess, though he’s one that seems a fair that if he plays in Knoxville, it won’t be in an orange jersey.
