We’re a long way from over, but the Rockland County title is essentially on the line today.
Clarkstown is taking on Suffern this evening at the Palisades Center Ice Arena. The programs have developed a heated rivalry in the last two years, so there should be a crowd on hand. Neither team has dropped a league contest so the winner moves into first place.
The Mounties have to be a considerable favorite based on how well they played against Mamaroneck.
I’ll be at the mall for this one, so you can follow me @lohudhockey for all of the updates. And if you’re watching and would like to chime in, all the better.
We do have some other interesting matchups, starting with Mamaroneck and Rye. Both teams could use a noteworthy win to improve the mood. John Jay and Yorktown are meeting, and there are league title implications. Keep us posted if you’re out watching.
