2016 Pleasantville Panthers
Coach — Dan Iorio

How many years have you been coaching at your current school? This is my second year as the head coach.

How did your team fare last season? 9-11 regular season; 1-1 playoffs; 10-12 overall.

Who are your top returning players?
Drew Marino (Sr. P/1B)
Jon Carlo Angiolillo (Sr. SS)
Chris Satriale (Sr. P/OF)

How do you feel about your pitching entering the season? Senior Drew Marino will return as a fourth-year starter. Senior Chris Satriale will be a key arm working out of the bullpen this year.

How would you describe your philosophy on how the game should be played? Players are challenged to buy into our system and to change the culture of the program, which focuses on having fun, getting better each day, and being winners on and off the field.

How would you assess your team’s chances this season? We will have a young team and fortunately have great leaders to welcome our newcomers.

When is your opening game? Thursday, March 31st at Eastchester.

On deck: Solomon Schechter

I’ll be posting at least one of these per day leading up to the start of the season at the end of the month. Coaches, if you did not receive a capsule email and would like to participate, please fill out the questions below and send them to me at vmercoglia@lohud.com.
