Horace Greeley Quakers

League: I-C

Head Coach: Kevin Kuczma (second year)

Assistant: Sean O’Rourke

Last season: 4-13

Returning starters: 4

Marquee players: Zander Levitz, Sr., MF; Matt Baum, Sr., MF.

On the verge: Eric Meyer, Sr., G; Avery Glass, Sr., D; Ryan Katchis, Sr., D; Brad Neufeld, Sr., D; David Miller, Sr., D; Jacob Brandes, Jr., A; Jared Gelber, Jr., MF; Will Mirabile, Jr., MF; Mike Hiebert, Jr., D.

Playing at the next level: Levitz (Swarthmore)

Rivals: Fox Lane, Byram Hills, Scarsdale, John Jay

Strong point: The defensive unit is returning nearly intact. We will try to play great defense in front of a strong goaltender.

Biggest concern: Injuries. Our lineup is not very deep.

Coach speak: “We should have a more successful team as many of the young sophomores and juniors return from last year’s team,” Kuczma said. “We played a lot of games where we lost a lead, which contributed to a poor record. We are hoping to finish games this year when we have a lead.”
