O’Gorman football coach Steve Kueter will be honored with a retirement roast on April 15.

A coaching retirement roast will be held for longtime O’Gorman football coach Steve Kueter on April 15 at the Best Western Ramkota in Sioux Falls.

Kueter, who won more football games than any other high school mentor in South Dakota history, stepped down in December after 33 years as head coach for the Knights.

The Humboldt native, whose career included seven state championships in 13 DakotaDome appearances, will remain at the school as activities director.

Special guest roasters include former coaching colleagues Mike Klinedinst and Jim Uttecht, Sioux Falls activities coordinator Mark Meile and Argus Leader columnist Stu Whitney. Master of ceremonies will be Father Chuck Cimpl.

Social hour begins at 6:30 p.m., with the program at 7:30. Anyone 21 and over is welcome to attend. Call 575-3300 for more information.
