The search for a new football coach at Madison is far from over.

Madison County Schools has re-posted the job after conducting an initial round of interviews. The position will be advertised until it is filled.

Former coach Mark Gosnell resigned in February after going 35-48 in seven seasons. He was also the school’s athletic director. That job was also re-posted Tuesday.

Applicants may send their information to Madison County Schools personnel director Cindy M. Shores at cshores@madisonk12.net.

Seven other Western North Carolina programs have named new football coaches for next season — Andrews (James Phillips), Asheville High (David Burdette), Hayesville (Kenneth Dockery), McDowell (Andy Morgan), North Henderson (Justin Clark), Roberson (Jason Dinwiddie) and Smoky Mountain (Chris Brookshire).
