The Miami Marlins have assigned former Roberson pitcher Chris Narveson to their Triple-A affiliate, New Orleans.
Narveson made the Marlins’ roster in spring training but had an 8.64 earned-run average and six strikeouts in six relief appearances.
Narveson, 34, is a 2000 Rams graduate who has been in Major League Baseball since 2006. Last year, the left-hander was 3-1 overall with a 4.45 earned-run average and 32 strikeouts in 30.1 innings pitched for the Marlins (71-91).
He previously played for Milwaukee and St. Louis. Narveson was a second-round draft pick (53rd overall) out of high school.
