Happy 6th birthday to Charlie! I love being your dad.

Steve Wojciechowski made a name for himself as the scrappiest of scrappy Duke guards in the 90s, making him a peak college basketball villain for fans across the country. A big part of Wojciechowski’s success was derived from his ferocious defense, a trait which he now drills into his team at Marquette … and his son.

Charlie Wojciechowski just turned 6, and he’s already channeling his father on the defensive end of the court. The elder Wojciechowski has taught his son to play hounding defense while also instilling a respect for the game, as evidenced by his pregame handshake.

Of course, all of this is ridiculous. And ridiculously cute. If he keeps it up, the younger Wojciechowski really might have a bright career in front of him, too. If not? Well, we’re still sure to see more of Charlie Wojciechowski in the years ahead on Dad’s Instagram account, whether in basketball, football, baseball uniforms or something else. Lacrosse maybe? Marquette’s fledgling program is off to a strong start!
