MARSHALL – Marshall High School senior Nikki Tucker signed her National Letter of Intent on Thursday to play basketball at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Tucker, a 5-foot-10 forward/center, led the Redhawks to the 2015-16 Michigan High School Athletic Association Class B state championship, averaging 12.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 2.0 assists per game on her way to earning Class B first team All-State honors from the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan and honorable mention honors from the Associated Press.

Tucker made two free throws with 1.4 seconds to lift Marshall to a one-point semifinal victory over Bay City John Glenn. She averaged a team-best 15 points in seven postseason games as Marshall finished the season on a 26-game winning streak.

Embry-Riddle is a Division II program located in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Eagles compete in the Sunshine State Conference.
