It appears UCLA is also trying to see if it can reel in both brothers by offering Marcus a scholarship during Marvin’s unofficial campus visit this weekend.
Marvin Bagley, a 6-9 power forward is ranked as as the No. 1 player in the Class of 2018. Marcus, who is already 6-6, is a member of the Class of 2020. The offer to Marcus was confirmed by the Twitter feed of Pheonix Phamily, the Nike-sponsored AAU team Marvin Bagley Jr. runs.
The Bagley brothers began last school year at Hillcrest Prep in Arizona but left in early November.
After being home-schooled, Marvin moved to Southern California and enrolled at Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth) in January.
After Bagley was ruled ineligible and lost an appeal, the CIF stated that he wouldn’t be eligible until January 2017, which would make it a year from the date he enrolled. However, the CIF later ruled that Bagley can play at Sierra Canyon from the start of the season after the organization received updated transfer paperwork.
Marcus also is enrolled and eligible at Sierra Canyon.
