Meet the former prep wrestler who tussled with comedian Katt Williams

By

Well, here’s something you didn’t expect to read about when you woke up this morning: Katt Williams punched an erstwhile prep wrestler, who subsequently put the comedian in a rear naked choke hold, according to video of the altercation and reports by the Daily Mail, among others.

The altercation took place at a soccer game in Gainesville, Ga., reports said.

Former Gainesville wrestler Luke Wash, 17, was the challenger in the video, according to reports.

“We were playing a game of soccer and I just thought it was a soccer game, but stuff happens in sports,” Wash told DailyMail.com. “He took me over to a secluded area and asked me to hit him and I was like, ‘I’m not just going to hit you. You want to square up?’ And then he sucker-punched me so I did what I did.”

However, at least one eyewitness challenged Wash’s account, according to HollwyoodLife.com.

An eyewitness named Balencia Young told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that the fight was planned all along. “That kid purposefully provoked Katt Williams into the fight,” explains Balencia. “He told all his friends way in advance that he was going to get in [Katt’s] face, talk smack and not back down until Katt hit him. He told his friends he was going to get in the fight with Katt and he told them all to film it.”

Police are investigating the incident, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, which could create problems for Williams, who is currently on bail for assault, drugs and weapons charges.

The lesson, as always: You never know when your prep wrestling skills will come in handy, but most likely it’ll be when you encounter a 42-year-old famous comedian at a soccer game.
