With Michigan on the verge of a big recruiting weekend with Friday’s spring game, the Wolverines are getting a head start.
Chase Lasater, a 2017 linebacker from Florida, announced he’ll be part of the class.
Lasater, a 6-foot-2, 238-pound linebacker/fullback from Jacksonville’s Trinity Christian Academy, is a bit of an unknown.
According to 247Sports, he only has three offers, the others from Charlotte and Troy and has no ranking.
He’s the ninth commitment in the class and the first from Florida. But Michigan made significant inroads with six Florida players in the 2016 class, tying for its most of any state.
