Mohamed Bamba, a 6-11 center from Harlem, N.Y. Bamba, who attends school at Westtown in Pennsylvania, is ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the country by Rivals.
Bamba has offers from Arizona, Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina and many others. He said Indiana sophomore-to-be Thomas Bryant has impressed him.
“His motor is incredible,” Bamba said. “If I can emulate his motor to get to where his is, it’d be crazy. To see that he’s going to stay at Indiana another year means that he really loves the program.”
According to recruiting experts, Bamba’s recent performances should have him in the mix for the No. 1 player in the class. Rivals has 7-foot center DeAndre Ayton currently in that spot.

“It’s something I’ve been shooting for,” Bamba said. “That’s a goal that I’m setting for myself is to be the best. I’m not playing just to be one of those guys who hangs around. I want to be the best.”
