Baseball 

Birmingham Groves 6, Farmington 5:  Max Novick pitched six innings allowing four runs, two earned runs, four hits, three walks and three strikeouts for Birmingham Groves (5-1, 1-0 OAA White). Andre Mailing had the save in relief. Novick had two hits and a double. John Kowalchuk, Joe Roberts and Andre Martin each had two hits. Zavier Warren had an RBI triple. Farmington’s Artie Bentley had two doubles.

Detroit Denby 24, Detroit Pershing 3: 

Madison Heights Lamphere 20, St. Clair Shores Lakeview 0: Noah Fisher pitched four innings and gave up one run and struck out three for Madison Heights Lamphere (3-5, 1-0 MAC Gold). Jacob Thomas was 4-for-4 with four RBIs. T.J. Newby was 4-for-4 with three RBIs. Gabe Dionisio was 3-for-3 with four RBIs. St. Clair Shores Lakeview is 6-7, 0-1. 

Softball

Detroit Central 17, Detroit Communication and Media Arts 1: Daija Parks pitched a no-hitter in three innings with three strikeouts for Detroit Central (2-0). On base, Parks was 3-for-3 with a double. Ke’anna Rucker was 2-for-2 with a triple and a run scored. J’Nai Sykes was 2-for-2 with three runs, including a home run. Breanna McNeece was 1-for-1 with two runs scored. McNeece was injured during the game.

Detroit Osborn 18, Detroit International Academy 2: Samantha Smith was 3-for-3 with two home runs and six RBIs for Detroit Osborn (2-0).

Detroit Renaissance 25, Detroit Cody 2: Kayla Brown pitched a no-hitter in three innings with seven strikeouts for Detroit Renaissance (7-0). Foressia Hood was 4-for-4. Faith Hunt was 3-for-5. Carmen Ramirez was 3-for 4. Detroit Cody is 1-1.

Woodhaven 3, Taylor Kennedy 2: Bri Charron gave up two runs and struck out 12 for Woodhaven (6-2). Haili Neal had a walk-off homer. Alyssa Harris was 2-for-2 with two doubles.

Girls Soccer

New Baltimore Anchor Bay 2, Macomb Dakota 2: Casey Couturier and Kayla Polisano each scored one goal for New Baltimore Anchor Bay (4-1-2). Polisano and Lindsey Shira each had one assist.  Amanda Emke had eight saves. Macomb Dakota’s Cassidy Kowalski and Harley Gorzelski each scored one goal. Dakota is 2-1-1.
