Mt. Juliet’s Jalyn Jenkins won the A.F. Bridges Invitational cross country event at Percy Warner Park’s Steeplechase Course on Saturday.

Jenkins posted a time of 19 minutes, 51.30 seconds, finishing more than 26 seconds ahead of Girls Preparatory School junior Carley Braman.

Knoxville Catholic won the girls competition and Oak Ridge claimed the boys title.

Knoxville Catholic’s Georde Goodwyn won the boys race in 17:02.11. Eagleville’s Dawson Reed (17:49.32) and Mt. Juliet’s Austin Powell (17:54.72) placed sixth and seventh, respectively.

Franklin sweeps Beech Invitational: Franklin won the boys and girls titles at the Beech Invitational, which was held Saturday at Hendersonville’s Sanders Ferry Park.

Station Camp sophomore Faith Brown won the Beech Invitational on Saturday.

The Lady Rebels finished 49 points ahead of second-place Rossview, while the Franklin boys finished 22 points better than second-place Lebanon.

Station Camp’s Faith Brown (20:59.59) won the girls race, finishing 17 seconds better than Rossview’s Anna Grose.

Lebanon’s Caleb Kawasaki (16:56.56) won the boys race, more than nine seconds ahead of Franklin’s Zani Maxwell.
