Nashville Christian School will move to Division II for the 2017-20 classification cycle, the school’s athletic director and football coach Jeff Brothers said in a text message to The Tennessean.
Nashville Christian, the 2015 Class 1A state football champions, is the third Midstate private school to announce a move to Division II for 2017-20, joining Christ Presbyterian Academy and Goodpasture.

Fellow Division I private schools Grace Christian (Franklin), Lipscomb Academy and Middle Tennessee Christian have until Oct. 14 to announce whether they will move to Division II.
Columbia Academy and Clarksville Academy have stated that they will remain in Division I.
