Nevada girls basketball game ends 51-2

By

The Bonanza (Las Vegas) girls basketball team knew a rough night was ahead when facing Centennial (Las Vegas), ranked No. 7 in the Super 25.

This might be a little rougher than it expected, and it could have been worse.

Centennial (20-1) posted a 51-2 victory, although that was the score with 2:53 left in the second quarter when Centennial stopped trying to score because of the 50-point mercy rule in Nevada. Centennial led 34-2 after the first quarter.

Bonanza dressed seven players and four fouled out. Its lone bucket came with 3:20 left in the first quarter by Clarissa Scott.

Justice Ethridge scored 11 points and Jayden Eggleston had 10 for Centennial.
