Steve Smith Sr. is headed back to prom, and for all the right reasons.
Last week, Smith—currently of the Ravens and a former Pro Bowler with the Panthers—asked Charlotte-area teen Aubrey Bridges to her senior prom at North Gaston (N.C.) High School. Bridges, who is autistic, said yes, of course.
“I am excited because Steve Smith Sr. asked me to prom,” Bridges told the Gaston Gazette. “I am so happy that I danced. Brandon and Elizabeth Lindsey, my friends at Dream on 3, are making my dream come true.”
Dream on 3 is a non-profit organization in Charlotte that helps sports dreams come true for children with life altering conditions and developmental disabilities.
