Biaagio Ali Walsh ran for 129 yards and two touchdowns in the first half as No. 1 Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) blanked Durango 56-0 to improve to 10-0.
The Gaels have now posted three consecutive shutouts against Nevada opponents in running their in-state winning streak to 81 games. Durango finished with 40 yards of total offense, a week after Gorman held Desert Oasis to 11 yards in a 71-0 victory.
Durango had negative yards of offense and no first downs in the first half.
“That’s always our goal,” Gorman coach Kenny Sanchez told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “We try to limit their first downs and go for a shutout.”
Gorman quarterback Tate Martell, who had a “bounty” of sort placed on him for sacks, completed 7 of 8 pass attempts for 115 yards and two touchdown passes. He also ran for a TD.
Bubba Bolden had a 38-yard pick six to give Gorman a 42-0 lead at halftime.
