No. 1 Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) finished another perfect regular season — this time with an 11-0 mark — in a 56-7 victory against Sierra Vista.

The Gaels ran their winning streak to 50 games overall and 82 against Nevada opponents, and open the postseason next week in pursuit of an eighth consecutive state title. Gorman hosts Palo Verde in the Sunset Regional quarterfinals next week.

Tate Martell had four passing touchdowns and Biaggio Ali-Walsh ran for three rushing TDs. Austin Arnold had a rushing and receiving score.

After Gorman’s last three opponents failed to score, Sierra Vista at least found the end zone once. Since its triple-overtime thriller against St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale), Gorman has outscored its last five opponents by a whopping 310-20.

Gorman rolled to a 42-0 lead at halftime, the same halftime score as in last week’s 56-0 victory against Durango.

Sierra Vista’s fans opted for the Mannequin Challenge at some point during the game.
