SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — No. 14 Chaminade College Prep (St. Louis) took third place of the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions with a 61-39 victory against Rainier Beach (Seattle).

The more amazing thing: Rainier Beach did not score a point in the eight minutes of the third quarter.

The scoreless third quarter turned a 26-22 halftime lead into a 43-22 bulge.

Duke signee Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 14 points on a night where four Red Devils players reached double figures in scoring.

For Rainier Beach, Sam Cunliffe had 13 and Kevin Porter added 10.

In the fifth-place game, Jose Alvarado scored 16 to lead Christ The King (Middle Village, N.Y.) to a 59-55 win against Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas). Chuck O’Bannon had 22 and Zach Collins posted 19 for Gorman.

In the seventh-place game, Jared Ridder scored 25 points to lead Kickapoo (Mo.) to a 71-64 victory against Bolivar (Springfield) in an all-Missouri matchup. Cameron Davis had 21 and Isaac Johnson 10 for the winners.
