In a near repeat of their state quarterfinal matchup of a season ago, No. 14 Mill Creek (Hoschton. Ga.) stymied Archer (Lawrenceville) 31-10 on Friday.
Last December, the Hawks took a 24-0 win and Mill Creek’s defense was key again on Friday, with a pick-six and several sacks. A late Archer touchdown was the first one on the ground the Hawks have allowed all season.
