Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) had a big week to lead a group of four new teams in the Super 25 boys basketball rankings.
The Monarchs (23-3) are No. 21 after M.J. Cage led them to two big wins last week.

Cage had 20 points in a 61-53 defeat of then-No. 16 Foothills Christian (El Cajon) in the Nike Extravaganza at Mater Dei. Cage also had 22 points in a 79-72 defeat of regionally ranked Shadow Mountain (Phoenix).
The other new teams are: No. 23 Federal Way, Wash.; No. 24 New Albany, Ind.; and No. 25 Omaha South, Omaha Neb.
Federal Way improved to 21-0 as Jalen McDaniels had 18 points in a 63-61 defeat of Curtis (University Place, Wash.) in the South Puget Sound League championship.
Romeo Langford had 33 points and 14 rebounds to lead 16-1 New Albany to a 78-58 defeat of Columbus East (Columbus). Langford also had 44 points in a 102-34 defeat of Jennings County (North Vernon).
Omaha South improved to 20-0 as Karlon McSpadden had 18 points in an 84-37 defeat of Lincoln.
