North Carolina state scoring record falls for second time in three weeks

The North Carolina state record for combined points in a game was broken for the second time in three weeks and one of the schools was involved in both games.

Two weeks ago, J.H. Rose (Greenville) beat D.H. Conley 77-67 for a combined 144 points, topping the previous record of 142 that was set in 1930 and matched in 1995.

After a bye week, Conley was on the winning side of an 83-68 victory against C.B. Aycock (Pikeville) for 151 combined points on Thursday.

So, in back-to-back games, Conley has seen 293 points in its games.
