
Decatur Central’s Tyrone Tracy added an offer from Iowa.
A few recruiting notes to pass along. One football, one boys basketball and one girls basketball:
>>>Decatur Central junior standout Tyrone Tracy picked up an offer from Iowa on Wednesday, his third from a Big Ten Conference program.
Tracy, a 6-foot, 185-pound running back and receiver, also has offers from Illinois and Northwestern, as well as Bowling Green, Central Michigan and Cincinnati.
Tracy has 23 receptions for 395 yards and five touchdowns and 228 rushing yards and three TDs for 6-1 Decatur Central this season. The Hawks play Class 4A No. 1 Roncalli on Friday.
>>>One of the state’s top 2017 basketball prospects, Fort Wayne North Side’s Jaylen Butz, will announce his college decision on Thursday.
The 6-9 Butz took an official visit two weeks ago to DePaul. He said he is also considering Ball State.
>>>Center Grove’s Cassidy Hardin, a 5-9 junior girls basketball standout, has narrowed her three college choices to Purdue, Michigan State and Vanderbilt.
Hardin, one of the top shooters in the class, averaged 13.4 points and 4.1 rebounds last season as a sophomore. She shot 66-for-175 (37.7 percent) from the 3-point line.
