They say birds of a feather flock together. In Oregon, that means the best tend to stick around.
That’s certainly the case with Oregon’s newest commitment: 4-star offensive tackle prospect Alex Forsyth. A 6-foot-5, 290-pound bruising lineman in the pits, Forsyth has spent his scholastic career lining up for West Linn, where he earned accolades while earning scholarship offers from virtually all the Pac-12 and other national powers like Michigan. The lineman announced his choice on Twitter, complete with appropriate emojis and all.
Forsyth has not spoken to the media bout his decision, with onlookers left to speculate about why he decided on the Ducks. Proximity to home almost certainly played a role in the lineman’s decision, though there were doubtless plenty others, as well.
What matters now is that Forsyth is a duck. After all, if it looks like a Duck and quacks like a Duck, it must be a Duck, right?
Keep quacking, Forsyth. And keep it classy.
