A basketball coach at Port Barre (La.) High School has been accused of having sexual contact with students.
Police Chief Deon Boudreaux said Nicole Aymond, 45, was arrested Wednesday on three counts of prohibited sexual conduct.
Authorities launched an investigation last week after receiving a call from a concerned parent.
Boudreaux said investigators found “lewd and nude images” of Aymond that she allegedly texted to a student’s cellphone.
Aymond admitted to having sexual contact with two male students, according to Boudreaux.
“The St. Landry Parish School System is aware of and investigating the recent allegations involving an employee from Port Barre High School,” St. Landry Parish Superintendent Patrick Jenkins said in a statement. “We want to assure the school community that we take reports of this nature very seriously and will do everything in our power to protect the health, safety and welfare of all students.”
