MARSHALL – In the Interstate Eight dual meet, the Beavers edged the Redhawks by a score of 46-36.
For Harper Creek, seven wrestlers earned wins via pin, including Dakota Trimm (119), Ethan Bishop (125), Mitch Coon (130), Nate Sisler (135), Hunter Peri (140), Brenner Beck (145), and Caleb Masten (189).
Terry Vette also earned a win for the Beavers with an 11-1 major decision.
The Redhawks got five match victories on the night. Corey Dexter (215), Owen Miller (285), Will Nash (152), Brendan Hankey (160), and John Nash (171) all pinned their opponents on Wednesday.
LAKEVIEW QUAD: The Spartans were 0-2 as a team in Wednesday night’s quad meet, losing to both Stevensville-Lakeshore (40-25) and Niles (51-22). Battle Creek Central also went 0-2 in the meet, falling to Niles (66-12) and Stevensville-Lakeshore (51-19). Going 2-0 in their matches for Lakeview were Bryce Brust (103), Brendan Stevens (125), and Stephon Moody (160), while the Bearcats’ Fransisco Lemus (103) and Brandon Crum (171) also went unbeaten.
CHARLOTTE 47, (at) PENNFIELD 30: In the home loss for the Panthers, Nolen Nornamann (103) and Dilon Striplin recorded pins in their respective matches. Also for Pennfield, Dylan Huff (119), Jaycob Herpin (130), and Shane Edwards (189) won via major decisions.
BIG EIGHT MEET: Athens went 1-1 as a team on Wednesday, defeating Homer (44-36), but falling to Jonesville (51-30). For the Indians, Hunter Bowersox (112) and Steve Waring (125) each went 2-0 in their matches, while Jacob Roberts (140) and Brayden Waldron (285) each went 1-0.
MARSHALL ACADEMY 66, CAMDEN-FRONTIER 61 (OT): In the overtime victory for the Griffons, Isaac Mean led the way with 24 points, while Kemar DeJesus chipped in with 11 points.
PENNFIELD 30, (at) LUMEN CHRISTI 0 (TUE.): The Panthers bowled an outstanding 1111 second game, led by Max Jackson (245), Sean Young (236), Bailey Neal (226), and James Rouff (224).
(AT) LUMEN CHRISTI 24, PENNFIELD 6 (TUE.): In the loss at Airport Lanes in Jackson, Pennfield’s Alyx England bowled games of 177 and 166, while Megan Elwell also had a good night with games of 179 and 166.
