The Fossil Ridge girls golf team finished in third place at Monday’s RJ-2 Invitational at Mariana Butte in Loveland.
The SaberCats were led by sophomore Kayla Elder who carded an 83, good for a seventh place individual finish. Paige Gentry shot an 86, Abbey Cosper a 91 and Ashley Beaty shot a 99.
Poudre also competed in the invitational, finishing 15th. Payton Fisher led the Impalas with a score of 103. Makalynne Dyer shot a 110 and Delaney Kress recorded a 120.
TRI-VALLEY INVITATIONAL — Also happening Monday at Mariana Butte was the third Tri-Valley Invitational, which Windsor won with a team score of 264.
Jessica Zapf paced the Wizards with an 82 and Kinsey Smith shot an 87. The Windsor duo took first and second place, individually, for the tournament. Rounding out Windsor’s scores were Jayden Muro, Bria Duvall and Madison Montgomery, who all shot 95s.
Resurrection Christian placed fifth out of seven teams in Monday’s tournament. The 88 carded by Elisabeth Perl was the third-best individual performance of the day. Also competing for the Cougars were Alexis Lee, who shot a 107, Mila Anderson (123) and Alexis Stratton (124).
HOLY FAMILY 6, WINDSOR 1 — The Wizards lost for the first time this season, dropping a road match in Broomfield.
The only point Windsor recorded was in the No. 1 singles position where Amanda Ward defeated Holy Family’s Tori Montoya 6-3, 6-2.
