The Fort Collins baseball team won its fourth consecutive game Monday by defeating Adams City 10-0 in a game that lasted five innings due to the mercy rule.

The Lambkins (5-1) worked primarily station-to-station and had only two extra-base hits. Nathan Dill hit a double and Brandon Hall a triple. Brandon Hahn went 4 for 4 at the plate with three RBIs. Hall drove in four runs.

Lane Brlecic, who struck out three batters, was credited with the victory. Mitch Carlson earned the save in one inning of work.

Fort Collins next hosts Boulder on Saturday.

POMONA 4, FOSSIL RIDGE 0—The SaberCats couldn’t get their bats going on the road in an error-plagued game.

Fossil Ridge (1-4) had four hits and four errors. Jimmy Souverein connected on a double, the SaberCats’ only extra-base hit.

BRUSH 4, RESURRECTION CHRISTIAN 2—The losing streak continued for the Cougars as they lost their third consecutive game.

Resurrection Christian (1-3) got a good pitching performance from Luke Fick through five innings, but Brin Hayden couldn’t shut the door, giving up a three-spot in the top of the seventh that did the Cougars in.

Jake Tomcheck recorded the RBIs for the Cougars on a squeeze play to put them ahead 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Girls Tennis

FOSSIL RIDGE 6, DENVER EAST 1—The SaberCats had no issues Monday, conceding only the No. 2 doubles position.

No. 1 singles player Shawnea Pagat defeated Jen Jason 6-3, 6-2. In No. 1 doubles play, Fossil Ridge’s Savanah Smith and Amita Pandey grinded out a 7-6, 6-4 win over Tanisha Gosha and Chloe Scruggs.

FORT COLLINS 6, GREELEY CENTRAL 1—Despite losing in the No. 1 singles spot, the Lambkins took care of business against the Tigers.

Fort Collins’ Mona Dai and Karina Pedroza beat Rachel Krieger and Ashlyn Twing 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 1 doubles position. At No. 4 doubles, Emma Byrne and Rachel Weiss won 6-4, 5-7, 6-1 over Brittany Ashley and Rhiannen Thero .
