Prep roundup: Resurrection Christan volleyball swept by Eaton

The Resurrection Christian volleyball team made too many errors Tuesday night at home against a strong Eaton team.

The Cougars fell 26-24, 25-14, 25-10 to the Reds, who are in first place in Class 3A’s Patriot League and are on a 17-match winning streak.

Kyra Zuhlke led RCS with 10 kills, Keighan Miller had 16 digs and Saylor Webb had 21 assists.

HERITAGE CHRISTIAN 3, FRONT RANGE CHRISTIAN 0 — The Eagles swept the Falcons 25-21, 25-15, 25-21 on Tuesday night. Jacqueline Flynt had a double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs and Sarah McGinley added 10 kills and five blocks.

FOSSIL RIDGE 3, LEGACY 0 — The third-ranked SaberCats were dominant yet again, sweeping the Lightning 25-15, 25-14, 25-14.

Riley Zuhn had eight aces and eight kills while Liz Staudacher had five kills on 13 attempts.

MONARCH 3, POUDRE 0 — The Impalas were swept 25-22, 25-12, 25-15. They’ll try to get back on the winning track Thursday at Boulder.

FORT COLLINS 3, HORIZON 1 — The Lambkins prevailed 25-14, 23-25, 25-11, 25-15 at home.

Gracyn Voggesser had 14 kills, Sofia Boyer had four kills and two blocks, Audra Koopman had five kills and three blocks and Emma Dern tallied two aces.

LIBERTY COMMON 9, ESTES PARK 0 — The Eagles pushed their winning streak to eight Tuesday with a dominant road victory.

Ryan Zonnefeld scored two goals and Paul Boehner, Joe Douglas, Evan Walter, Joseph Dutoit, Caleb Baptista, Michael Hofinger and Michael Yeh each added one.

Zonnefeld had three assists, Walter had one and Zach Harker added two.

FORT COLLINS 3, LEGACY 2 — Eric Thompson, Mathew Khour and Alec Fronapfel all scored to lift the Lambkins to an important conference victory.

Thompson, Enzo Lucas and Derrick Eberling recorded assists.

MONARCH 2, ROCKY MOUNTAIN 1 — The Lobos were tied at halftime, but gave up a goal in the second half, costing them a shot at their second win of the season. Full stats were not reported.
